The Short Story: The Rams collected several season and personal bests at the prestigious Texas Relays Thursday and Friday
 
 
DAY 1

• Juniors Yasmine Silmon and SyVanna Metcalfe grabbed top-10 finishes in the 400-meter hurdles. Silmon set a personal best of 1:00.97, placing fourth, and Metcalfe ran 1:01.66 to finish eighth. Silmon's time improves her No. 6 mark on VCU's all-time list by nearly a second

 
DAY 2

• Junior Lauryn Freeman turned in her first sub-14 performance of the season in the 100 hurdles, clocking 13.97. Her time ranks second in the Atlantic 10 this season
• Sophomore Lauryn Taylor ran 11.80 in the 100, placing fourth in her heat
• VCU's 4x400 team of Karah Moore, Silmon, Metcalfe, and Nia McMillan placed sixth with a time of 3:47.62

 
 
UP NEXT
The Rams travel to Tampa, Fla. for the South Florida Invitational. The two-day meet begins Friday, April 8.
