The Short Story:Â VCU, led by senior forward Chloe Bloom's double-double, outscored Lafayette 18-2 in the third quarter as the Rams eased past Lafayette.

- The Rams shot 43 percent from the field while holding the Leopards to 33 percent
- VCU dominated the boards, outrebounding Lafayette 44-20. The Rams allowed just two offensive rebounds all game and outscored Lafayette 14-0 in second chance points
- Redshirt-sophomore Grace Hutson dished out career-high six assists along with scoring six points

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- Bloom's five first quarter points led the Rams to a 19-13 lead
- VCU a 16-1 run across the end of the first quarter into the second to take a 31-14 lead. The Leopards answered with a 7-2 run but the Rams held a 33-21 halftime lead
- The Rams scored 10 points off the bench in the third quarter and VCU outscored the Leopards 18-2 in the quarter to take a commanding 51-23 lead
- The Leopards never got within closer than 23 points in the fourth quarter
