The Short Story: VCU trailed 1-0 in the second quarter before scoring four unanswered goals in a 12 minute span and cruised to the win.

  • Davidson scored early on a penalty corner in the 7th minute as Charlie Kabelac found the bottom corner
  • The Rams tied the game at 1-1 in the 17th minute as Janne Wetzel converted a penalty corner
  • VCU scored again less than a minute later off another penalty corner as Rosenbrock redirected a ball in from Litiana Field
  • In the 24th minute, Bridget McCormick converted a penalty stroke to give VCU a 3-1 lead
  • The Rams pushed it to 4-1 just before halftime in the 29th minute as Goodwin got behind the Davidson defense and redirect a pass from Bridget McCormick to score
  • VCU made it 5-1 in the 39th  minute as Hanley dove across the face of the goal to score at the back post on a pass from Iglesias
