The short story: Sophomore Kendall Phillips ran under 26 minutes to finish in the top-75 and lead the Black and Gold at the Atlantic 10 Championships.  

THE FINISH LINE

• Phillips placed 74^th in the deep and competitive Atlantic 10 field, with an official time of 25:54.2.
• Sophomore Kyle Weldon was not far behind his teammate in 78^th place, completing the 8k course in a time of 25:58.9.
• Sophomore Nahim Abdallah (26:38.7/108^th), freshman Hudson Barth (26:52.9/116^th), junior Noah Peterson (27:15.9/122^nd), and sophomore Jaden Luczak (28:28.1/134^th) also finished for the Rams.

"I think today it could have gone a little bit better, but our focus was to try to stick together at the front and then try to be right together at the mile. I feel like we were pretty close but could have been packed up a little better. We've had a few setbacks in the past month, month and a half, but we tried to run through it, but stuff happens. We tried our best to compete with our current fitness level. We got to get through it and keep training, and then we'll be ready for indoor and outdoor. "– Kendall Phillips

UP NEXT

The Black and Gold runners will wrap up their cross country season on Friday, Nov. 11 when they travel to the NCAA Southeast Regional at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. The meet starts at 11 a.m. with the women's 6k, followed by the men's 10k at 12 p.m.
