HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fordham's Abby Doyle struck first in the match off a service from a free kick to give her team the lead in the 14th minute
- In the 15th minute, redshirt senior defender Emily Charen used a throw into the box to find Bulatovic who was quick to respond and tie the game at 1-1
- Redshirt junior midfielder Anna Bagley juked around some Fordham defenders in the box and played a pass to Kraszula who found the back of the net to give VCU a 2-1 lead in the 35th minute
- Sarver scored what proved to be the game-winning goal on a breakaway after receiving the feed from junior midfielder Aisha Maughan in the 36th minute
- Matsuhisa gave the Rams insurance in the 58th minute when the keeper blocked her initial shot but got her own rebound and scored on the second attempt.
