VCU MEN'S TENNIS TAKES THE DOUBLES POINT BUT FALLS TO NO. 7 GEORGIA

The Short Story: VCU commanded an early advantage by winning the doubles point but was unable to carry this momentum into singles as they fell to no. 7 Georgia 4-1
 
OPENING SERVE
  • Brothers Senior Charles Bertimona and Junior Maxence Bertimon kicked off the match with a commanding 6-3 doubles victory over Georgia's no. 21 ranked pairing of Trent Bryde and Phillip Henning
  • Freshman Joaquim Almeida and Sophomore Matisse Bobichon fought through a back and forth set to clinch the doubles point with a  7-6 (8-6) win for VCU
  • Junior Maxence Bertimon took an early one set advantage over no. 23 Phillip Henning but ended up falling in three sets
  • Georgia clinched the match with four singles win, two of which went to three sets
  • Five of Georgia's six singles players are currently ranked in the ITA Singles top 125
