HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first quarter was a defensive battle with no shot attempts until Lonica McKinney forced a La Salle save 11:17 into the game. The teams were tied 0-0 at the end of the quarter
- La Salle had its lone shot attempt with 32 seconds left in the quarter
- VCU opened the scoring in the 20th minute after Field collected her own rebound off a penalty corner and beat the goalkeeper
- The Rams doubled their lead four minutes later as Gregory played a pass from the end line across the goal to Rosenbrock who lifted her shot over the keeper to make it 2-0
- VCU's defense didn't allow a shot for the final three quarters to preserve the win
