Duke Bonk Invite
 
Location: Cary, N.C. (SHEFFIELD INDOOR TENNIS CENTER)
The Short Story: VCU Men's Tennis continued their fall slate with a trip to Duke for the James Bonk Invite. Four members of the squad (Inigo Torre Martin, Joaquim Almeida, Gray Voelzke, and Tom Leblanc) competed over 3 days in Cary, N.C. accumulating an overall record of 6-11 between singles and doubles.

OPENING SERVE

• After suffering a loss in his round of 16 match, Senior Inigo Torre Martin was able to rebound with 3 straight victories. Including a 6-2, 6-4 win against number 1 seeded Jakob Schnaitter (WF) in the final
• Freshman Joaquim Almeida won his first match in the black and gold with a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Hugo Lobo (ETSU)
• Doubles play ended in an all VCU match for consolation third place. Almeida/Voelzke defeated Torre Martin/Leblanc by a score of 6-3

Milwaukee Tennis Classic
 
Location: Milwaukee, Wis.
The Short Story: VCU Men's tennis continued their fall schedule with a great showing at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic. Senior Rayane Stable and Junior Maxence Bertimon both made the trip to compete in the event. Over the three day event they compiled an overall record of 7-3 between singles and doubles.
 
OPENING SERVE

• Both Stable and Bertimon opened singles play with convincing victories against Maxime Mareschal-Hay (CSU) and Marino Jakic (Depaul)
• They each followed up with round of 16 wins against seeded opponents from Harvard. Including, Stable's victory against sixth seeded Harris Walker.
• Stable continued on with a 6-4, 6-4 win against Mark Mandlik (Oklahoma) in the Quarterfinals
• The doubles pairing of Stable/Bertimon also had a good showing as they reached the semifinal of the competition before falling to Von der Schulenburg / Walker (Harvard) in a tight match.
