THE STARTING LINE:

Graduate student Lauren Graves started the day off for the Rams by setting a new school record in the pole vault as she soared to a height of 3.71m. Her mark bested a record set in 2012 by Stephanie Newing at 3.70m
Makayla McGowan and Eryn Byrd finished first and second in the shot put reaching distances of 14.86m and 13.08m respectively.
In the discus Makayla McGowan placed third with her mark of 47.34m
Aliyah Newman placed second in the triple jump with her mark of 12.25m
In the 100 hurdles it was Lauryn Freeman who took first place clocking in at 14.7 while Courtney Higgins placed third with her 14.8 finish
In the 100m dash Lauryn Taylor raced to a first place finish with a time of 12.0. Rorie Spencer followed with a time of 12.1.
Karah Moore won the 400m with her 58.9 finish.
Nia McMillan and Moore, finished first and second respectively in the 200m dash with times of 25.9 and 26.3 respectively

UP NEXT: The Rams will wait for final qualification results for the NCAA East Preliminary Round beginning on Thursday, May 27 in Jacksonville, FL.
