The Short Story:Â VCU Women's Tennis claimed its third straight Atlantic 10 title with a 4-0 victory over crosstown-rival Richmond Saturday afternoon at the United States Tennis Association's Nation Campus.
OPENING SERVE
- The 78th-ranked pairing of senior Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado and graduate Noumea Witmus opened the championship with a 6-2 victory on court two
- The sophomore duo of Gabriella Davidescu and Luminita Tutunaru earned the doubles point for VCU with a 6-4 win on court one
- In singles play, junior Shivani Manjanna cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 straight-set victory on court six
- Exposito Diaz-Delgado earned a dominant 6-0, 6-0 straight-set win on court one
