OPENING SERVE
- The pairing of freshman Alessia Ciuca and junior Shivani Manjanna earned a dominant 6-0 win on court three to open doubles competition
- The 79th-ranked duo of senior Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado and Noumea Witmus prevailed 7-5 on court two, clinching the doubles point for the Rams
- Manjanna notched a 6-1, 6-1 straight-set win on court six to open singles competition
- Ciuca extended the VCU advantage with a 6-0, 6-2 straight-set victory on court three
