Liam Hibbits collected a pair of base and reached base three times, but a seven-run rally in the sixth inning carried Liberty to victory Friday in Lynchburg.

- Hibbits finished his day 2-of-3 with an RBI and a walk to raise his average to .354 this season
- Junior left fielder Jack Schroeder and sophomore right fielder Logan Amiss each drove in a run for the Rams

- Graduate transfer Bradford Webb started and allowed two hits and two runs in four innings for the Black and Gold. He struck out two and walked one
THE DIFFERENCE
- The game swung on Liberty's seven-run sixth inning. The Flames sent 12 to the plate in the inning, and two-run doubles by Cam Locklear and Jake Wilson helped turn a 3-2 deficit into a 9-3 Flames lead
- Liberty recorded 10 hits in the game, including six for extra bases.
- The Flames' bullpen held the Rams to no hits or runs the final four innings
- Earlier, an RBI single by Hibbits, followed by a Schroeder sacrifice fly, provided VCU with a 3-2 edge in the top of the fourth
