The Short Story: VCU struggled to get going offensively early as Elon got out to an 8-0 lead with 12:06 remaining in the first half. After the Rams scored their first goal, the Phoenix continued to pull away in the win.

  • Autumn Kash scored once and had a team-high two shot attempts

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Elon scored eight unanswered goals to start the game before Kelsey McDonnell scored with 11:06 remaining in the first half to cut the deficit to 8-1
  • The Rams scored again less than four minutes later as Kash scored to make it 9-2 with 7:40 left in the first half
  • VCU would only score one more goal for the remainder of the contest
