The Short Story: No. 36 VCU Men's Tennis fell 5-2 to No. 24 Tulane Sunday afternoon at City Park Tennis Center

OPENING SERVE
  • Tulane claimed the doubles point with wins on courts two and three
  • The Green Wave took a 3-0 lead with singles victories on courts four and two
  • Sophomore Lleyton Cronje defeated 29th-ranked senior Hamish Stewart in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 to open the scoring for VCU. Cronje is 9-3 this season in singles competition
  • Senior Timo Zgraggen cut the Tulane lead to one with a three-set win on court six, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. Zgraggen improves to 6-1 in singles matches with the victory
  • The Rams' comeback fell just short as the Green Wave clinched the match win with a three-set victory on court three
