HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a defensive battle that left the teams tied 0-0 at the end of the first quarter, Davidson struck first in the 24th minute as Turnage scored
- VCU tied the game in the 29th minute as Field scored on an assist from Wetzel and the teams were tied at 1-1 at halftime
- Wetzel scored the game-winner in the 34th minute on a penalty corner with Maite and Svea Sturm each recording an assist on the play
- The Rams' defense then limited the Wildcats to just one shot attempt in the fourth quarter to complete the win
