th minute to send VCU to the A-10 championship Game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- VCU held most of the possession in the first quarter and despite having a 3-1 advantage in the shots, the game remained tied at 0-0 at the end of the first quarter
- The second quarter was a defensive battle that saw just one shot from Richmond and the teams remained tied 0-0 at halftime
- In the third quarter, VCU had a goal from Maite Sturm on a rebound off a penalty corner disallowed in the third quarter due to a foul
- The Rams turned up the pressure in the fourth quarter, outshooting Richmond 3-1 in the quarter and finally scored the game-winner off a penalty corner with just 2:27 left in the game
