The Short Story: After a slow start, VCU trailed the Patriots 6-3 with 14:30 left in the first half before a 7-0 run jumpstarted the Rams' offense and allowed VCU to cruise to the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Patriots took a 6-3 lead with 14:30 left in the first half before Lauren Marosi's goal kickstarted a 7-0 run by the Rams to take the lead for good
- McDonnell capped off the run, giving the Rams a 10-6 lead, but Mason scored the final goal of the first half as VCU led 10-7 at the break
- The Rams scored four of the first five goals of the second half to push their lead to 14-8 after Anna Koniencki scored with 24:48 remaining
- VCU pulled away and led by as many as 10 goals three different times to close out the contest
