Tyler Locklear homered twice and drove in five to power VCU at William & Mary Friday afternoon.

FIRST PITCH
- Locklear opened the game with a two-run blast in the top of the first and followed with a three-run shot in the fourth. He finished his day 2-for-5 with five RBIs
- Sophomore second baseman Michael Haydak registered a 3-for-5 day and drove in a pair of runs for the Black and Gold. He was one of five Rams to record multiple hits on the day
- Sophomore righty Evan Chenier picked up his first save of the season with 2.1 innings of three-hit relief. He struck out two and did not walk a batterÂ
THE DIFFERENCE
- VCU touched up William & Mary pitching for 13 hits on the day
- Locklear's home runs helped stake VCU to a 7-1 lead in the fourth inning. Haydak stroked a two-run single in the fourth, and Locklear followed a short time later with his three-run round-tripper
- VCU freshman Mason Delane started and delivered four innings. He allowed two earned runs and struck out three
- Rams pitching issued just two walks in the game
NOTABLE
- Locklear entered the day tied for second in the nation in home runs, just two behind NCAA leader Wes Clarke of South Carolina
- VCU's win halted a three-game losing streak
