HOW IT HAPPENED
- VCU was on the front foot for the entirety of the first half. The Rams tallied six shots in the opening 45 minutes
- With less than a minute remaining in the first half, George Washington's goalkeeper misplayed the ball. Redshirt-junior Emma Kershner collected the rebound and sent a pass back towards the middle of the box. A cutting Jerabek arrived at the same time as a Colonials' defender and the ball deflected wide.
- In the 63rd minute, Jerabek dribbled through defenders, turned and fired a shot from just outside the box that found the top-left corner of the net, giving VCU a one-goal advantage
- George Washington evened the score in the 78th minute on a goal by senior Natalie Silberman
- Less than a minute later, the Rams earned a corner. Jerabek sent the ball to the far post where Golob, left unmarked, elevated and headed the ball just underneath the crossbar
