The Short Story: Graduate Noumea Witmus and senior Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado's singles victories were not enough for VCU Women's Tennis as the Rams lost to No. 37 Old Dominion, 5-2 Saturday afternoon at the Thalhimer Tennis Center.

OPENING SERVE

• Witmus earned a straight-set win on court four, 6-4, 6-4 over Monarchs' freshman Shahar Biran
• On court one, Diaz-Delgado bested 40th ranked senior Holly Hutchinson in three sets, 6-3, 5-7, 10-2
• Diaz-Delagado improved to 2-0 against Hutchinson this season
• Rams' sophomore Luminita Tutunaru fell narrowly in a third-set tiebreaker on court three, 7-6 (10), 4-6, 10-4
• Old Dominion took the doubles point with victories on courts two and three
• The Monarchs earned the match victory with singles wins on courts six, two, four and three
