VCU WOMEN'S TENNIS HITS THE ROAD TO FACE VIRGINIA TECH ON SATURDAY

First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m.

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Tennis will continue its spring schedule as the Rams travel to Blacksburg to face Virginia Tech at 10 a.m. Saturday.

VCU sits a 1-2 on the season after falling 7-0 to Furman last week.

Senior Paola Diaz-Delgado and graduate Noumea Witmus are looking to bounce back in doubles competition after dropping their first match of the season in the loss.

Four Rams, Diaz-Delgado, Witmus, sophomore Gabriela Davidescu and junior Shivani Manjanna are searching for their second singles victories of the season after recording wins in the home opener.

Virginia Tech comes into the match with a 0-1 record after suffering a 5-1 defeat to Charlotte in its first match of the season. The Hokies were 7-7 in 2019-20 before the competition was suspended due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

VCU is 3-1 in its last four matchups against Virginia Tech dating back to the 2010-11 season.
