The Short Story:Â With the game tied 5-5 early in the second half, VCU went on a 13-1 scoring run to pull away for the win. The win marked the first 3-0 start to a season in the program's six-year history.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- VCU opened the game with three unanswered goals as Koniencki's first of the game gave the Rams their 3-0 lead with 24:01 left in the first half
- Radford scored four of the next five goals to tie the game at 4-4 with 2:08 left before halftime
- Kelsey McDonnell scored on a free position with one second remaining to give the Rams a 5-4 lead at the break
- Radford scored the first goal of the second half to tie the game at 5-5 with 24:10 left but McDonnell's goal at 21:25 jumpstarted the 13-1 run
- Juliana George had five assists and two goals during the run to seal the win for VCU
