RICHMOND, Va. – The VCU Men's Soccer team looks to open their season with a positive result against N.C. State on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Sports Backers Stadium. 
 
The Rams lone result of the season so far was a 1-1 exhibition affair with defending national champions Georgetown. 
 
Redshirt-senior Biska Biyombo, who scored five goals last season, will look to get VCU's attack off to a quick start while senior Ulrik Edvardsen will be tasked with leading, and helping build chemistry, on a talented back line. 
 
Wednesday will mark the Rams' first meeting with the Wolfpack who started their season, along with the rest of the ACC, in the fall. N.C. State will enter the match with a 1-6-1 record after their 2-0 victory over UAB.
 
Due to VCU Athletics guidelines, Sports Backers Stadium will be at a reduced capacity of 250 spectators being allowed in attendance.
