The Short Story: VCU Women's Tennis defeated Davison in a dominant 7-0 sweep Saturday afternoon at the Thalhimer Tennis Center.

OPENING SERVE

• Competing in the No. 1 doubles position, sophomore's Lumnita Tutunaru and Gabriela Davidescu cruised to a 6-1 win and notched he first match victory of the day.
• 116^th-ranked senior Paola Diaz-Delgado and graduate Noumea Witmus seized the doubles point for the Ram's with a 6-2 victory in the No. 2 position. The pairing improved to 5-2 on the season with the win.
• Tutunaru recorded the first singles victory of the day. The sophomore downed her opponent, 6-0, 6-4
• Diaz-Delgado secured the match victory for the Rams with a 6-4, 6-2 victory in the No. 1 position.
• Junior Shivani Manjanna tallied a straight-set win, 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 6 position. Manjanna improved to 3-1 in singles competition this season with the victory.
