RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Tennis will continue its 2020-21 season this weekend as it hosts a pair of matches this at the Thalhimer Tennis Center.

The Rams will begin Atlantic 10 play against Davidson at 1 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, VCU will welcome William & Mary to the tennis center for a 12 p.m. match.

The Rams enter the weekend at 2-4 and are coming off a loss to No. 11 Duke on Wednesday.Â

Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado has led VCU in singles competition this season. The senior has faced a series of ranked opponents in the No. 1 position and holds a 2-3 record.

Noumea Witmus have paced the Rams in doubles competition. The pairing enter the weekend at 4-2.

Freshman Alessia Ciuca was named A-10 Rookie of the Week on Monday. Ciuca recorded her first collegiate singles win Saturday against ETSU.

Davidson enters the match at 1-3 and is coming off a 0-7 loss at Liberty on Saturday. The match will mark the seventh meeting between the two programs. The all-time series is knotted at 3-3.

Sunday's match will be the first of the season for William and Mary. The Tribe was 6-5 at the suspension point of the 2019-20 season. The match will be the 42
nd meeting between the teams. William & Mary holds a 29-12 advantage.

Per VCU Athletics guidelines announced prior to the season, no spectators will be allowed into the tennis center at this time.
