The Short Story: VCU had its lead trimmed to 6-5 with 25:31 remaining but the Rams outscored ODU 5-2 down the stretch, getting two goals from Lauren Marosi, to put the game out of reach. 
 
QUICK FACTS:

• Keriann McTavish netted two goals and recorded two assists for the Rams
• Savannah Slack led all players in scoring, recording a hat trick on just six shot attempts
• Lauren Marosi and Abby Osmeyer each scored twice. Juliana George scored a goal and added an assist
• On the defensive end, Emma Barber, Anna Koniencki and Kerri Radomski each caused two turnovers for VCU
• Gillian Belfiore recorded 10 saves for the Rams on the

HOW IT HAPPENED:
 

• In the first half, George converted a free position shot which jumpstarted a 3-0 run and sent VCU into halftime with a 5-3 advantage
• The Rams were clinging to a one-goal advantage at 6-5 when a shorthanded goal from Lauren Marosi sparked a four goal VCU run that would put the game out of reach
• VCU led by as much as 10-5 with 7:43 left and held the Monarchs to just two goals in the final 25:31 of action
