The short story:Â VCU held a 49-36 lead heading into the fourth quarter before South Florida shot 61.5 percent in the final 10 minutes to take the win.
OPENING TIP:
- Sarah Te-Biasu scored a season-high 17 points while shooting 6-of-9 from the floor and 3-of-5 from 3-point range
- Taya Robinson had 14 points and four rebounds
- Chloe Bloom chipped 10 points and six rebounds
- USF outrebounded VCU 42-20 overall and had a 16-5 advantage in second chance points

HOW IT HAPPENED
- VCU and USF had three ties and one lead change in a back-and-forth first quarter that saw VCU take a 15-13 lead
- The Rams pushed their lead to 22-17 with 4:34 left before halftime but the Bulls cut their deficit to 27-26 Â at halftime after Elisa Pinzan basket with 38 seconds left
- VCU raced out of halftime with a 15-0 run that was capped off with a Robinson jumper to give the Rams a 42-26 lead with 5:30 left in the quarter. It marked VCU's largest lead of the game and the largest for either team
- The Rams held a 49-36 lead into the fourth quarter but shot just 2-of-15 from the floor while South Florida was 8-of-13
- The Bulls outscored VCU 28-8 in the quarter to retake the lead and hold on for the win
