Jovana Vukcevic combined for 37 kills and 11 blocks to power VCU to its fourth straight victory Friday night.

OPENING VOLLEY
- Knight supplied a match-high 19 kills and six blocks in the VCU win. She hit .600 with just one error in 30 attempts
- Vukcevic added 18 kills, five blocks and eight digs to the VCU cause. She hit .351 in 37 swings
- Freshman outside hitter Kialah Jefferson added 12 kills and 16 digs for the Black and Gold, while senior libero Alyna Draper dug 24 balls
- VCU hit .284 in the match as freshman setter Katrina Davis dished out 51 assists. She also recorded eight digs, three blocks, four kills and an ace in her best all-round effort of the season
- Brynne Wright provided 15 kills for Rhode Island
THE DIFFERENCE
- VCU edged Rhody in blocks (10-8), digs (77-67) and aces (4-3), while outhitting the hosts .284 to .201
- The Black and Gold took command of the match in the third, hitting .394 (compared to Rhode Island's .125) on the way to a 25-17 win and a 2-1 lead
- URI hit over .200 just once in four sets
- Rhode Island tied the fourth at 21-all, but Knight and sophomore Kylie Loftis sandwiched kills around a VCU block to take a 24-21 advantage on the way to a 25-22 win
