Dasia Townes layup to take a 29-18 lead and the Rams never trailed again.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- Washington shot nearly 43 percent from the floor in the first quarter, getting out to the 14-6 lead before VCU's run began with a Grace Hutson free throw
- The Rams 23-4 run spanned two quarters and allowed VCU to lead 31-26 at halftime
- The Huskies got within 39-38 with 2:45 left in the third quarter before being answered by a quick 7-0 run from VCU ending with a Te-Biasu jumper
- The Huskies never got closer than four points in the fourth quarter at 48-44 and didn't threaten in the fourth as VCU pulled away for the win
