OPENING VOLLEY
- Knight needed just 17 swings to post double-digit kills. She hit .471 overall. The Phoenix, Ariz. native also recorded two blocks
- Fifth-year senior outside hitter Jovana Vukcevic and sophomore middle blocker Kylie Loftis each added nine kills for the Black and Gold. Vukcevic also supplied four blocks in the contest
- VCU piled up 53 digs in the match and senior Alyna Draper collected 18 of them, while freshman setter Katrina Davis supplied 12 to go with her 22 assists and three aces
- Anita Parrott led Duquesne with nine kills
THE DIFFERENCE
- The Rams held the Dukes to a .109 hitting percentage. In the first set, the Dukes registered as many errors as kills (7)
- VCU owned a 53-43 advantage in digs and served up seven aces, compared to Duquesne's one
- The Rams used a 4-1 burst in the latter stages of the second set to break a 16-all tie on the way to a 25-19 win. Knight blasted a pair of kills during that critical sequence
- The third set was close throughout, but a pair of kills by freshman Parker Hartzell keyed a 5-1 run that gave the Rams a 24-20 lead

- VCU has won 10 straight matches versus the Dukes, a streak that dates to the 2016 season
- Knight averaged 3.42 kills per set, while hitting .476, in two matches this week
