LOCATION: Richmond, Va. (Cary Street Field)
RECORDS: VCU 8-3 (4-1 A-10), Davidson 2-9 (0-3 A-10)

THE SHORT STORY: Carolina Mujica scored two goals for VCU as the Rams won their fourth straight contest.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Mujica scored two goals, the first two of her collegiate career, and had four shot attempts
  • Janne Wetzel scored one goal and had one assist
  • Camila Rosenbrock scored once on her only shot attempt of the game
  • Maite Sturm, Svea Sturm and Georgia Carr-Brown each had an assist
  • VCU outshot Davidson 13-1 and had a 9-1 advantage in penalty corners
  • The Rams had their sixth shutout of the season and fourth in as many games

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • VCU opened the scoring in third minute as Mujica collected a loose ball and her shot from the wing was deflected into the goal off a Davidson defender
  • The Rams doubled their lead just six minutes later as Wetzel's pass from the backline allowed Rosenbrock to get by the Wildcats defense and fire a shot into the upper corner to make it 2-0
  • Wetzel made it 3-0 just before halftime, scoring off a penalty corner on assists from Maite and Svea Sturm
  • McCormick extended the lead to 4-0 in the 42nd minute as she tapped in a cross from Carr-Brown at the back post
  • Mujica scored the game's final goal in the 48th minute after Litiana Field's initial shot was saved and she scored off the rebound
