HOW IT HAPPENED
- Â VCU went into the halftime locker room with an 8-4 advantage in total shots and a 4-1 edge in shots on goal.
- UMass flipped the field after halftime, outshooting the Rams 17-6 in the second half and both overtime periods.
- Sophomore winger Celio Pompeu led VCU with four total shots, while senior attacker Jared Greene was the only Ram with multiple shots on target.
- Pierre Fiorre Mane and Pablo Varela Fraga each registered a pair of shots, while Toranosuke Abe, Oquin Robinson, Philip Klomp and Damian Gallegos all had one shot each.
- Sequeira saved the lone shot on goal in overtime.
