HOW IT HAPPENED
  •  VCU went into the halftime locker room with an 8-4 advantage in total shots and a 4-1 edge in shots on goal.
  • UMass flipped the field after halftime, outshooting the Rams 17-6 in the second half and both overtime periods.
  • Sophomore winger Celio Pompeu led VCU with four total shots, while senior attacker Jared Greene was the only Ram with multiple shots on target.
  • Pierre Fiorre Mane and Pablo Varela Fraga each registered a pair of shots, while Toranosuke Abe, Oquin Robinson, Philip Klomp and Damian Gallegos all had one shot each.
  • Sequeira saved the lone shot on goal in overtime.
 
UP NEXT
VCU will play in an Atlantic 10 quarterfinal on either Nov. 6 or 7. The seeding and bracket will be announced later on Saturday, Oct. 30 after the conclusion of the regular season for every A-10 team.
