RICHMOND, Va. – VCU will have a fourth straight Atlantic 10 Conference Championship in its sights when it opens up its 2020-21 schedule in January.
Â
The Rams, whose season was moved from the fall semester to the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will kick off their season on Jan. 22 at Liberty. On the following day, VCU will head to Norfolk, Va. for a first-ever meeting with Old Dominion, which will play its inaugural season in 2021.
Â
VCU will open its home slate on Jan. 31 with George Mason at the Stuart C. Siegel Center. Other critical non-conference match-ups with Duke (Feb. 9) and at James Madison (Feb. 22) are also on the horizon.
Â
VCU has met Dayton in the past three A-10 Championship matches, and the Rams will renew that rivalry on Feb. 19 at the Siegel Center, before making a return trip to Dayton on March 6. In all, a 10-match conference slate awaits the Black and Gold.
Â
The 2020-21 A-10 Tournament will be held April 2-3 at the league's top seed.
Â
The Rams have won three straight A-10 regular season titles and captured the 2017 A-10 Tournament crown. VCU received an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament in 2019.
