The Short Story:Â With six event wins out of the ten events they participated in, the Rams dominated the Patriot Games. As a team, VCU recorded ten total top-three finishes in Fairfax, Va. on Saturday
SPRINTS/HURDLES:Â
Â
- In her 60-meter debut, Freshman Lauryn Taylor won the event with a time of 7.72
- Sophomore Rorie Spencer finished third in the 60-meters
- Freshman Nia McMillan finished fourth in the 200-meters
- Sophomore Yasmine Silmon took home a first-place finish in the 400-meters
- Freshman Karah Moore breezed to a first-place finish in the 500-metersÂ
- In the 60-Meter Hurdles, sophomores Syvanna Metcalfe, and Silmon dominated the event finishing first and third respectively

JUMPS:Â

- In the High Jump, VCU crowded the top with freshman Alacia Myles and senior Courtney Higgins placing first and second respectivelyÂ
- Myles recorded a personal best mark of 1.60m in the High Jump
- Senior Aliyah Newman skipped her way into a first-place finish in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.79mÂ
- Raquel Hawkins finished fourth in the Triple Jump
