The Short Story: With six event wins out of the ten events they participated in, the Rams dominated the Patriot Games. As a team, VCU recorded ten total top-three finishes in Fairfax, Va. on Saturday

SPRINTS/HURDLES: 
 

• In her 60-meter debut, Freshman Lauryn Taylor won the event with a time of 7.72
• Sophomore Rorie Spencer finished third in the 60-meters
• Freshman Nia McMillan finished fourth in the 200-meters
• Sophomore Yasmine Silmon took home a first-place finish in the 400-meters
• Freshman Karah Moore breezed to a first-place finish in the 500-meters 
• In the 60-Meter Hurdles, sophomores Syvanna Metcalfe, and Silmon dominated the event finishing first and third respectively

 
JUMPS: 
 

• In the High Jump, VCU crowded the top with freshman Alacia Myles and senior Courtney Higgins placing first and second respectively 
• Myles recorded a personal best mark of 1.60m in the High Jump
• Senior Aliyah Newman skipped her way into a first-place finish in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.79m 
• Raquel Hawkins finished fourth in the Triple Jump

 
THROWS:
 

•  Freshman Eryn Byrd placed third in the shot put
