The short story: Taya Robinson scored a team-high 16 points -Â including the 1,000
th of her career - and grabbed six rebounds for VCU, but it wasn't enough to halt Richmond's second-half comeback Sunday at the Siegel Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two teams played a back-and-forth first quarter and the Spiders held a slim 15-14 lead
- VCU held a 27-26 lead with 3:15 left before halftime but closed the half on a 12-4 run that was capped by a Janika Griffith-Wallace 3-pointer
- The Rams lead 39-30 at the half
- Richmond opened the second half with a 13-2 run, punctuated by a 3-pointer by Aniyah Carpenter at the 4:19 mark of the third quarter, to take a 43-41 lead. VCU would rally to tie the game, but Townsend converted a traditional three-point play late in the third to give UR a 53-50 lead heading into the fourth
- Te-Biasu hit a step-back 3-pointer with 8:02 remaining to provide VCU with a 56-55 lead, but Carpenter answered with a triple on the ensuing possession, and the Rams never led again. A layup by Elaina Chapman with 2:24 left, followed by a pull-up jumper from Townsend at the 1:19 mark supplied the Spiders with a 65-60 lead
