The Short Story:Â With the Rams trailing 58-48 midway through the fourth quarter, VCU used a 12-3 run to get back within 61-60 with 2:42 remaining. The teams then traded the lead three times in the final minute before heading to overtime where ODU outscored the Rams 13-8 and pulled away for the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Chloe Bloom scored seven of VCU's first nine points of the game as the Rams got out to a 9-4 lead with 6:31 left in the first quarter
- VCU shot a blistering 64.3 percent from the floor in the first quarter and raced out to a 25-14 lead
- Despite the hot start, the Rams struggled offensively in the second quarter as ODU outscored the Black and Gold 25-7 to take a 39-32 lead at halftime
- The third quarter was back-and-forth with VCU outscoring the Lady Monarchs by a slim 12-11 margin to trail 50-44 heading into the fourth quarter
- ODU led 58-48 with 6:01 in the game but a 12-3 run sparked by back-to-back 3-pointers from Te-Biasu and Reed got VCU within 61-60 with 2:42 left in regulation
- The teams traded 3-pointers on their next possessions before VCU forced a turnover and Reed got to the free throw line where she made two to put VCU up 65-64 with 47 seconds left
- The Lady Monarchs' made two free throws on their next possession to go up 66-65 but Sydnei Archie again put VCU in the lead with a three-point play that made it 68-66
- The Rams then fouled Morris with just four seconds remaining and she made both free throw attempts to send the game into overtime
- ODU outscored VCU 13-8 to take the victory during the overtime period
