- The combination of Anna Rasmussen and Melissa Ifidzhen defeated Stefaniya Surikova and Kristina Titova of Temple to give VCU its first doubles victory of the match
- Pairing tiegther for only their second match, Noumea Witmus and Sofia Sualehe teamed up to defeat Alice Patch and Oyku Boz to earn VCU the doubles point
- Rasmussen took down Surikova in No. 2 singles in two sets for the first singles point for VCU
- Kanako Yano defeated Chunan Xiang in two sets, only allowing one game against her
- Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado sealed the victory for the Rams after defeating Ruoyu Chen in two sets, keeping her perfect singles record alive
