The Short Story: With the game tied 35-35 early in the fourth quarter, VCU went on a 16-4 run to take a 51-39 lead and ran the clock down on ensuing possessions, preventing an Aggies comeback.

• The Aggies went on a 9-3 run to start the third quarter and tied the game 30-30 with 4:31 left.
• VCU led just 35-34 heading into the fourth quarter after a couple of ties and lead changes,
• After an Aggies free throw tied the game 35-35, VCU embarked on the 16-4 run to take control of the game.
• The Aggies never threatened after the run and would get no closer than six points.
