- Saint Joseph's forced the first save of the game in the 2nd minute as Elliott turned away a shot from Anna Willocks.
- The Rams had a chance of their own in the 6th minute as Zabicki's effort from the far side of the circle was saved by Victoria Kammerinke.
- The teams battled for the next 20 minutes before Saint Joseph's scored the game-winning goal on a penalty corner. Joely Helder deflected the ball into the cage on a penalty corner in the 29th minute.
