The short story: Senior Olga Barshcheuskaya made a victorious return the lineup, while VCU rattled off straight sets wins in four of six singles matches on the way to a lob-sided triumph over George Washington Sunday.
 
FIRST SERVE
  • Barshcheuskaya, in her first singles action since March 10, outlasted Teodora Radosavljevic, 6-3, 3-6, 10-5 on the No. 1 court.
  • VCU received little resistance on most other fronts. Anna Rasmussen and Magda Aubets surrendered just one game in their straight sets wins on the No. 2 and No. 4 singles courts, respectively.
  • Barshcheuskaya, Darya Berezhnaya, Rasmussen and Janina Braun were all victorious in both singles and doubles play for VCU Sunday.
  • The Rams are now 4-0 against George Washington since VCU joined the Atlantic 10 Conference prior to the 2012-13 season.
