OPENING SERVE
- Barshcheuskaya returned to singles play for the first time since Feb. 20 and helped set the tone for a VCU victory. She dropped Turhan, ranked 97th nationally by the ITA, on the No. 1 court in straight sets 6-2, 7-6 (7-4).
- Meanwhile, Anna Rasmussen picked up her team-leading 11th singles victory of the season via a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 triumph over Rachel Morales on the No. 2 court.
