 FIRST SERVE
- Senior Olga Barshcheuskaya kicked off her spring season with a straight set win over No. 35 Martina Frantova, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 on the No. 1 court for VCU, one of three singles victories for the Rams.
- Anna Rasmussen, ranked 98th by the ITA, also opened the spring portion of the schedule in style, outlasting Joanna Nalborska 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.
- The Rams also received a 1-6, 6-2, 6-0 win from Magda Aubets over Tayla Stenta on the No. 4 singles court.
- This was VCU's first match of the spring season. The Rams' annual 4-1 Invitational was cancelled last week due to winter storm Jonas.
