The Short Story: VCU fell in its home finale, 2-0, Wednesday night to William & Mary.
How It Happened:
- Nine minutes into the match, Luc Fatton fired a shot looking to give the Rams an early advantage, but the sophomore's shot missed wide.
- Minutes later, William & Mary got on the board behind a goal by William Eskay.
- Before the first half ended, Jorge Herranz looked for the equalizer with a strong shot but The Tribe keeper was there to punch away the chance.
- Herranz's corner in the 74th minute went into the box, and the Rams were ready to strike to tie up the match, but once again The Tribe keeper was there to stop any opportunity.
- William & Mary responded to VCU's attack, and extended their lead, 2-0 in the 77th minute.
- The Rams continued to battle looking to break through and find the net, but The Tribe's 2-0 advantage would hold.
