How It Happened
- In the first 15 minutes, the Rams had a couple of opportunities from Jack Bates and Ivan Sakou, but both shots missed just wide.
- Minutes later, Jorge Herranz fired a shot missing wide. Cody Sweatte looked to find the back of the net on the rebound, but his shot bounced off the post.
- Davidson looked for an opportunity to get on the board with a shot from Valeriy Sviderskiy, but his shot missed wide. The Wildcats hoped that a free kick in the 32nd minute would put them ahead, but Pierre Gardan was there to stop the chance.
- In the 60th minute, Castillo found the back of the net on a free kick right outside the box to put the Rams on the board, 1-0.
- Davidson continued to battle late looking for the equalizer, but in the 84th minute, Gardan was there to stop the Wildcats' free kick, preserving the Rams' victory.
