- Alexis Schramm responded three minutes later with a goal from McKenzie Bowler.
- With one minute left in regulation, CMU's Cayleigh Immelman found the back of the cage, to give the Chippewas a 2-1 win.
Quotable
- "Today we showed some very good field hockey in the first half," said head coach Laura Baker. "Credit to Central Michigan as they were able to create a lot of short corners and end up with a stroke at the end of the game. In the second half we let the game come to us rather than taking it to CMU, and needed to focus more on our basic skills. We look forward to taking more steps to where we want to be on Sunday against Michigan."
