QUOTABLE FROM COACH JODY ROGERS
- "We struggled Friday, but we knew we had to come today and play. Again, Janelle [Sykes] was the rock of the team, and Nora hit great and solidified the offense. I think Cecilia Aragao had a few good dump-ins that opened things up for us on offense."
- "I think we're in a good situation, and this can set us up for the next two weeks, which are crucial for us. I think the girls understand they can't just come in and show up, they have to be ready to play. I think we learned a lesson Friday."
WHAT'S NEXT
VCU will host league-leader Dayton on Friday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena at the Stuart C. Siegel Center.
