• The Short Story: VCU Women's Tennis took its act on the road and continue its strong play by dominating long-standing rival, Old Dominion, with a 6-1 victory. The win was the Rams' fifth straight, three of which have come away from home. Sophomore Salome Kvitashvili picked up her 20th victory of the year and the Black & Gold dominated throughout for its fifth win away from home this year.

How It Happened

• Senior Josefin Hjertquist teamed with sophomore Cindy Chala to set the tone for VCU with a 8-1 throttling of ODU's second doubles duo en route to the Rams easily grabbing the doubles point and a 1-0 lead.
• Kvitashvili grabbed the first singles win of the day and the 20th of the year for the sophomore, a 6-4, 6-1 victory over ODU's Nika Khmolovska.
• Freshman Olga Barscheuskaya followed close behind with a 6-4, 6-1 win of her own, before Chala locked up the match for VCU with a 7-5, 6-1 win at the top singles spot.
• Junior Olga Terteac and freshman Yukako Noi wrapped up the Black & Gold's scoring with singles wins at three and four.
