EVENT: ITA Regionals (Charlottesville, Va.)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Senior Max Wennakoski, junior Alejandro Argente and junior Alexis Heugas advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Regionals to lead the Rams in the event over the weekend.
- Wennakoski defeated James Madison's Rob Stirling, Virginia Tech's Lucas Oliveria, and Richmond's Ethan Dunbar.
- Heugas had wins over Zvonimir Podvinski from Old Dominion, Mauricio Antun of Virginia Tech, and Nikita Gomi of George Washington.
- Argente advanced to the quarterfinals by beating Alex Van Gils (George Washington), Julen Uriguen (Virginia), Jamie Whiteford (William & Mary).
- On the doubles side, Huegas and freshman Michael Voscek picked up a pair of victories in the tournament. The duo defeated teams from James Madison and Penn State.
