scored on an extended time corner in the 70th minute to
give the Terriers a 2-1 win over hard-luck Virginia Commonwealth
University Sunday at the Sports Imports Capital Classic Sunday at
Alumni Field.

Dessel (Oisterwijk, Netherlands) tallied her first
goal of the year for the Rams (0-2) off a short corner in the
eighth minute of the game.
Boston's Andrea Greene provided the equalizer on a feed from
Leslie Zules in the 20th minute. The game remained tied
until Boston was granted a corner as time expired.
Despite the loss, the Rams second close defeat of the weekend, VCU
Head Coach Kelly McQuade is encouraged by her team's play.
"It was, without a doubt, the best hockey we've played," VCU Head
Coach Kelly McQuade said. "We made some really
great connections and the girls are doing some great things. It's
really exciting to see. We're getting there."

Jablonski (Charlottesville, Va.) made five saves in
goal for the Rams, who were outshot, 15-3 and outcornered,
10-3.
VCU returns to action on Friday, Sept. 3 when the Rams host
Northwestern at Cary Street Field at 3 p.m.
