Kris Kullman has served as VCU’s Director of Equipment Operations since 2018. He is tasked with overseeing all aspects of day-to-day equipment operations for 15 teams within the VCU Department of Athletics, including the distribution and collection of equipment to student-athletes and coaches, upkeep of Nike gear used by each program, assisting in the design of uniforms, as well as inventory management.
A former collegiate student-athlete, Kullman joined VCU following three years as an equipment manager at his alma mater, Shippensburg. During his tenure, Kullman served as Head Football Equipment Manager for the Raiders, while assisting with the department’s baseball, basketball, wrestling, track & field and volleyball programs. He also aided Shippensburg’s gameday operations as an on-site host for visiting teams and helped manage the Raiders’ practice and competition schedules.
Previously, Kullman served as a volunteer equipment manager for the American Hockey League’s Hershey Bears from 2007-13.
Kullman was a two-year captain on Shippensburg’s baseball team and helped the school to a Division II College World Series appearance in 2008. Kullman received his undergraduate degree in History from the university in the spring of 2011. Following graduation, he joined Shippensburg as an assistant baseball coach from 2012-13, where he helped steer the Raiders to an Atlantic Regional Championship and College World Series appearance in 2013.
